The day starts when you start it
There is no morning standup to perform attendance at. Most of the team opens the day reading: yesterday's threads, the run dashboards, whatever spec is collecting comments. The first synchronous thing on most calendars is nothing.
Two to four hours of real work is the win
An honest day here is a long uninterrupted block where the hard thing actually moved, surrounded by an hour or two of reading and writing for other people. Days with eight hours of motion and zero depth are treated as a process bug, not a badge.
Chat is slow on purpose
Threads expect answers in hours. Nobody pings 'quick question' and waits at your door. If something is truly urgent — a SEV, a customer down — the pager exists, and that is what it is for.
Bengaluru is an option, not an obligation
The office exists and a handful of people like it. Most of the team appears there for the quarterly week together and otherwise works wherever they think best. Nobody tracks who came in.
The day ends without ceremony
You write down where you left the thread so future-you and the rest of us can pick it up, then you stop. Evening messages get morning answers. Working late happens sometimes; being seen working late earns nothing.
