Mynd Labs launches research notes program
Working notes from the company's applied research — published when useful, withheld when speculative, and never announced as breakthroughs.
Mynd Labs today announced its research notes program, a commitment to publishing working notes from the applied research behind Y0 — context graphs, reasoning routing, trust accounting — in a fixed format and on no fixed schedule. The first four notes are available now at myndlabs.ai/research.
What a research note is, and is not
Each note documents a problem the company actually hit in production, the approaches it tried, the measurements it took, and what it shipped — including the approaches that failed. Notes are published when the company believes the findings would have saved it a month had someone else published them first.
The program's exclusions are stated as plainly as its commitments. Mynd Labs will not publish notes about work it has not built, will not use the word breakthrough, and will not announce research results ahead of the measurements that support them.
We are a small applied lab, not a frontier one, and the notes say so. The bar is simple: would this note have saved us a month if someone else had written it? If yes, we publish. If it only makes us look clever, we do not. — Yethikrishna R, founder
- ↳Fixed format: problem, approaches, measurements, outcome — failures included.
- ↳No fixed cadence: notes ship when findings are real, not when a calendar demands content.
- ↳First four notes cover context-graph design, read budgets, retention instrumentation, and runtime tracing.
Mynd Labs is a technology company building cognitive infrastructure in deliberate sequence — one wedge product, then a platform, then an ecosystem, each earned by the one before it. Its first product, Y0, is a cognitive runtime that connects a person's working context — documents, calendar, tasks — and removes the friction between them. The company was founded by Yethikrishna R and is based in Bengaluru, India.
